Feel the Beat is Awarded the Ruth Foundation for the Arts 2024 Artist Choice Award

Feel the Beat is a Colorado-based nonprofit and dance studio dedicated to creating sound accessible environments and bringing the expressive world of music and dance to individuals of all levels, ages, and abilities through their carefully crafted curriculum and their bone-conduction dance floors that allow students to feel sound through vibrational energy.
Feel the Beat is excited to share that we are a Ruth Foundation for the Arts 2024 Artist Choice Awardee! The 2024 Artist Choice selection process was informed by the recommendation of 19 esteemed collectives, who acknowledged the inspiring work of other collectives for their commitment to artist-driven models of operation, for their investment in peer mentorship and cultivating artistic communities, and for embodying the interdependence that is imperative to sustainable artistic practices.
About the Ruth Foundation for the Arts: National in scope, Ruth Foundation for the Arts is dedicated to meeting the evolving needs and lived experiences of artists, communities, and arts organizations whose work is anchored by visual arts, performing arts, and arts education.
About Feel the Beat: Feel the Beat was founded in 2016 to ensure that those who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, as well as those with or without disabilities can engage in music and dance education through bone conduction dance floors coupled with an inclusive and adaptive curriculum that honors and uses their mode of communication.
