Teach with Us
Interested in Joining Our Teaching Team?
We are always looking for qualified, responsible, and professional instructors dedicated to instilling a passion for the arts in our wonderful students! We have two dance teaching positions available; general dance teachers and those with a background in providing accessible learning environments to a diverse group of students including those who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing and those with/without Disabilities. Dance classes are held at our studios located at the Charles Whitlock Recreation Center in Lakewood, CO as well as our newest location at Colorado Movement Lab in Westminster, CO. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we would love to have you apply for either teaching opportunity. If you are interested, email via the link below.
Dance Teacher (ASL)
Experienced Instructors in the areas of Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Yoga, Ballet/Tap Combo, or Dance Fitness. Expertise in more than one style preferred but not required. Instructors must be comfortable with teaching classes with a variety of levels and creating appropriate lesson plans and choreography as needed. We are looking for committed and passionate instructors that can create a welcoming and appropriately challenging environment for our general student base. The ability to communicate effectively with students through body cues, visual aids or ASL is required.
Dance Teacher (FTB Access)
Instructors with a focus on providing accessibility to in-need student populations in a welcoming and supportive dance environment. Styles include but are not limited to Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Creative Movement, Yoga and Fitness. Interest in working with special needs populations is a must. These classes are designed to be adaptable and inclusive to the needs of students with a variety of physical and intellectual disabilities as well as our Deaf and Hard of Hearing student groups, so we are looking for instructors with the ability to be flexible and confident in any situation. ASL skills are valued but not required in this role.
Assistant Teacher
Due to the nature of our mixed-level and ability classes, assistants are invaluable! We welcome assistants at all levels and backgrounds. This is a great way to get the training you desire to teach or to work with these populations. We also often provide substitute teaching opportunities to assistants.
