Feel the Beat dancers in hip hop class learning choreography.

Great for any beginner or intermediate dancer! These classes meet once weekly and focus on the skills, technique, and choreography for different styles of dance. Offerings include genres such as Family Yoga, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet & Contemporary, and more for all ages and all abilities!

Weekly Classes

    • 1st Class is on us!

    • 8-Class Pack Punch Card - $160 total or $20 per class.

      • Punch Card expires 365 days after date of purchase if unused.

      • Punch Cards cannot be split between students in a single family. Each individual student must have their own punch card that can then be applied toward classes they are attending.

    • 16-Class Pack Punch Card - $256 total or $16 per class.

      • Punch Card expires 365 days after date of purchase if unused.

      • Punch Cards cannot be split between students in a single family. Each individual student must have their own punch card that can then be applied toward classes they are attending.

    • Drop-in class - $22 per class

  • Scholarships - Student and class scholarships are often available!

    *All who wish to receive a scholarship award must do the following:

    • Complete an online scholarship application

    • Bring Proof of Household Income within 2 weeks of application acceptance.

    • Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis. Thank you for your patience.

  • Enrollment is continuous throughout the entire season unless requested to cancel prior to the first of the month.

    Cancellation fees will apply in the case of not showing up to a scheduled drop-in class and/or failing to cancel in advance (2 hours prior). Call us if you need to cancel at 303-816-8683.

Group Programs

We would love to coordinate a private group class for you and your students! Feel the Beat’s wonderful instructors will design a customized class for your group and their specific needs and accommodations.

THE POWER OF DANCE

Feel the Beat creates curated courses for youth in grades K-12. Our team works to design a program that is age, style, and content appropriate along with being developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and accessible.

Our unique Dance Arts-in-Education curriculum is designed to meet Colorado state education standards and goals. Objectives include:

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Programs

  • Please visit the Feel the Beat website to view the schedule and register for classes. For the Summer seasons, we primarily offer classes for private groups. A new schedule is posted for the Fall season each year. Fall/Winter options generally include genres such as; jazz, hip-hop, ballet, creative movement, yoga, and more. If interested in learning more or speaking with a staff member, please email us at info@feelthebeat.dance.

  • Yes, please make sure you always register through our class registration portal prior to attending classes. From time-to-time, class may not be in session for various reasons such as holidays and inclement weather. In addition, if we do not have registrations for a particular class, we will cancel it one hour prior to the class starting.

  • The Feel the Beat class registration portal requires that a credit card is on file in order for you to register for classes (regardless of whether the class is free or a trial class). Please note that while the system calls it “autopay” that does not mean you will be automatically charged for a class or classes. You will only be charged for classes that you attend and/or if you do not contact us in advance to cancel a class. Please refer to the FAQ topic on our cancellation policy for details. To add a credit card to your account go to the class registration portal here: https://dancestudio-pro.com/online/feelthebeatclassportal and then select the “Account Settings” option from the “Account” menu on the top navigation bar and then select “Automatic Payments” to add your credit card.

  • If you are interested in registering for Feel the Beat classes on a one-off basis or on a an occasional basis, then we recommend purchasing our 8-Class ($20 per class or $160 total) and 16-Class Pack ($16 per class or $256 total) punch cards so that you can attend classes on a drop-in basis*. Here’s how it works:

    1. Go to the class registration portal

    2. Select “Class Pack” at the bottom of the screen and purchase the class pack/punch cards

    3. Go to the “Register for Classes” at the bottom of the screen and select the class you’d like to register for

    4. Select drop-in dates by clicking “Pick the dates you want to drop in” and then click the box next to the class dates

    5. Select the green “Finish Registration” button on the next page and then click “I’ll bring a punch card”

    6. Click the green “Process Registration” button

      • You must register as a drop-in if you are using the 8-Class or 16-Class Pack punch card (register at least 24 hours in advance). Class Pack Punch Cards are valid for 365 days after purchase date.

      • Punch Cards cannot be split between students in a single family. Each individual student must have their own punch card that can then be applied toward classes they are attending.

  • Enrollment is continuous throughout the entire season unless requested to cancel prior to the first of the month. If you are unsure if you’ll want to attend the entire season, consider purchasing an 8-Class Pack instead.

  • Class types refer to Feel the Beat’s class categorization based on an individual’s interest and/or goals for attending classes. Here are the current class types:

    Movers:

    These classes are ideal for new dancers who want to turn up and move. Discover the joy of learning dance through play in our movement-focused class. In this engaging and interactive experience, we unlock the power of play to enhance physical and cognitive development. Explore, create, and grow while having fun!

    Shakers:

    These classes are for dancers who are comfortable following instructor directions and who are interested in learning more about a specific dance style. These classes offer a vibrant environment where you’ll learn the basics of various dance forms and styles. Get ready to move, laugh, and learn as we combine playfulness with dance education in a dynamic and engaging way.

    Groovers:

    These classes are ideal for students looking to learn technique, enhance performance quality, and master choreography. Elevate your dance skills to new heights!

  • ALL ages. Feel the Beat offers classes for students as young as 1-2 years old as well as for adults. Look at the class description for more information or email info@feelthebeat.dance and we can make a recommendation for you

  • Feel the Beat ensures classes are accessible and affordable for everyone! We can either work with your service provider to obtain a waiver or, provide scholarships as needed. Please contact us with any questions regarding scholarships, additional funding, and payment plans. You can contact us by phone (303-816-8683) or via email (info@feelthebeat.dance).

  • Feel the Beat classes are presented in a total-communication format in which all instruction is presented in voiced English and sign language.

  • Our goal is to ensure we can provide an inclusive and accessible class environment for all of our students. If you and/or your child would benefit from 1 on 1 support, please contact us directly before attending a class.

    Our class instructors and volunteers all have training in working with individuals with different needs, we use a customized curriculum and sensory tools to provide the most accessible experience!

    Not only do we teach in ASL, but we also use English description to assist those with visual impairments. We provide adaptations for those with different physical needs and accomodate neurodivergence and IDDs to ensure that the teachings meet you where you are at.

  • If you need to miss a Feel the Beat class and you have provided notice at least 24 hours in advance (contact us via email), you may attend a makeup class for free. Email info@feelthebeat.dance to set that up.

  • In the event of inclement weather, the team at Feel the Beat will contact you to inform you of the class cancellation either the day before, or, the morning of the scheduled class. In general, Feel the Beat follows school closures guidelines and recommendations (or, if Whitlock Recreation Center is closed due to weather we will also be closed as well). If you are concerned about the weather and/or have a question as to whether class will be held or not, feel free to contact us via email at info@feelthebeat.dance.

  • Our schedule is determined by the center we are hosting classes in. Classes that are not occurring will not be available to register for on Dance Studio Pro. If you are contacting us on a holiday, we might not be online to answer so check with the center those classes are hosted in as well.

  • Cancellation fees will apply in the case of not showing up to a scheduled weekly class or group class and/or failing to cancel in advance (group classes require at least 24 hours advance notice of cancellation, individual classes require 12 hours advance notice). If you have any issues arriving on time for a scheduled weekly class or a group class, please call the location of your class (Whitlock Rec Center or Colorado Movement Lab) to notify the teacher and also call/text our main line at (303) 816-8683.

    If you enroll for the entire season (not a drop-in), enrollment is continuous throughout the entire season unless requested to cancel prior to the first of the month.

  • Students are encouraged to wear clothing that they have the freedom to move in such as leggings, leotards, tights, and other movement or athletic wear.

    We do ask that students remove their street shoes before entering the studio. Acceptable footwear includes dance shoes, grip-socks, or clean sneakers. No heels on the dance floor please.

  • We ask parents and visitors to watch through the windows, as many of our students get distracted having parents in the room. If you have a special concern, discuss it with your child’s teacher.

  • Check out our videos on Our Locations page to see specifically where our studio is located and where to go. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes prior to class to ensure you don’t miss any of class.

    Students are to wait with their guardians outside of the studio until welcomed in by an instructor. Parents are kindly asked to refrain from entering the studio during class and from any visually distracting actions.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Flooring

  • The transducer itself has a 20-year lifespan and the Permanent Installation of the Feel the Beat flooring has an estimated lifespan of approximately 20 years, with some variability depending on several factors including frequency of use, type of use, care and maintenance of the surface including cleaning the floor and wood refinishing, etc. The Mobile Floor varies depending on frequency of use, how the floor is transported (e.g., is it protected during transport), set-up and storage procedures as well as regular care and maintenance. If reasonable procedures are followed in terms of care and maintenance and the floor stored with care and protected during transportation to and from events, the Mobile Floor should last a minimum of 10 years.

    PLEASE NOTE: The estimated lifespan of the Permanent, Semi-Permanent and Mobile Floors is meant to serve as a guideline only, lifespan will vary from client to client depending on the factors listed above.
