Founder, CEO

As founder of Feel the Beat, a Colorado 501c3 nonprofit and dance studio that offers accessible dance classes and barrier-breaking vibrotactile dance floor technology solutions, Jari Majewski Price has made her vision for creating accessible environments a reality. Her work with co-creators, engineers, and partners enabled the launch of a fully accessible dance studio coupled with customized curriculum and teaching tools for Neurodiverse individuals. Jari also oversaw the development of a groundbreaking bone-conductive flooring solution that converts sound into vibrational energy – engaging an individual’s sense of touch – allowing them to feel the beat.

Jari graduated in 2009 from New York City’s Pace University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a concentration in Communication Disorders and American Sign Language. In addition, she holds a Masters degree in Deaf Education (M.Ed.) and Early Childhood Education (MA) from Columbia University. She has been a Teacher of the Deaf and Special Education in both a school and studio setting. Her dance training ranges from various genres of dance, as well as 12 different styles of Ballroom and Latin dances. Jari has trained with renowned musical theatre performers, teachers, choreographers, and championship dance coaches throughout her career. She has performed in countless theatrical productions in NYC and has traveled with The National Theatre of the Deaf performing across the country.

Today, Jari’s work is centered around Feel the Beat’s mission of dance accessibility for all and raising awareness about marginalized groups and the need for positive change in the increasingly inclusive world in which we live. Through Feel the Beat’s state-of-the-art dance floor and customized curriculum, Jari works with individuals and organizations including schools, gyms, and concert venues around the world seeking equal participation in the world of music, dance, and rhythmic exploration.

Since founding Feel the Beat in 2016, Jari has received numerous recognitions for leadership and her impact on the community. In 2020, Jari was honored to receive the Marquis Who's Who Award. In 2021, Feel the Beat was recognized as the Best Dance Studio in Denver, and in 2022, Feel the Beat was named a Family Favorite by Colorado Parent Magazine. In 2023, Jari was named a recipient of the prestigious Top 40 Under 40 Award by the Denver Business Journal.
